Which 1qr2 tag should you choose for your belongings and loved ones?
Dog, cat, child, keys, bike, wallet... a short guide to choosing the right format and plan for your needs.
Based on the item or person to protect
An engraved collar suits an active dog or cat perfectly, while a discreet keyring is enough for a keyring or a suitcase. For a child, favour something worn at all times (bracelet, bag tag) with a reassuring message rather than full contact details. See our pages dedicated to each use for more detailed advice.
Sticker or engraving: how durable do you need it?
A simple sticker printed at home is fine for trying out the service or occasional use. For an item exposed to weather, wear or daily use (an outdoor collar, a bike, checked luggage), an engraved tag from our shop holds up far better over time.
How many QR codes should you plan for?
The Free plan allows up to 5 QR codes, which is plenty to cover a household's essential items. For a family with several pets, children and valuables, the Basique plan (20 QR codes) or Premium (100 QR codes, unlimited edits) give you more room.
What information to share, depending on the context
A mobile number is often enough for an everyday item. For a pet that travels or goes out alone, you might also add your address. For a child, a custom message such as "Please contact my parents at the number shown" is often preferable to displaying full contact details directly.
